Different problems need different systems
Piers or underpinning may be considered for settlement, while wall anchors, bracing, or reinforcement may be used for certain bowing-wall conditions. A crack-repair product is not a substitute for structural stabilization when movement is present.
Before choosing a system
Ask what movement has been observed, what the proposed system is intended to accomplish, and how the repair addresses the underlying condition. For complex structural work, engineering input may be appropriate.
